Having just finished the second act of "A Doll's House" I thought I would post my thoughts and reflections.
Nora seems to have grown more and more worried about having her fraudulent ways revealed by Krogstad. Seeming to have locked herself away from her children, she continues to spiral mentally downwards as she struggles to find a solution to the problem. Torvald is either very good at pretending, or he is blissfully unaware of Nora's predicament, giving nothing away at this stage of the story. Mrs. Linde's character, now employed by the Helmer family, is also starting to reveal herself to the reader saying things like; "Once upon a time he'd [Krogstad] have done anything for my sake" provoking questions in the readers mind, making them wonder what the connection between Mrs. Linde and Krogstad is, and why she hasn't brought it up already.
I just hope that Act Three isn't a disappointing anticlimax!

Initially Nora pleads with him, begging for Krogstad to be given a final chance, Torvald is somewhat amused by this, not understanding her motives, and declines. Torvald then wonders if Nora’s been threatened, which is true, but not in the way Torvald thinks, Nora feigns innocence and pretends to be worried that Krogstad will be slanderous to the couple, this makes Torvald step it up a gear, worried about the integrity of his family name being compromised, and so posts Krogstad’s unemployment letter even sooner than planned.
I just hope that Act Three isn't a disappointing anticlimax!
